Frank Davenport
Frank Davenport has 42 years’ experience in industrial development including 32 years as a senior manager working with IDA Ireland. He played a key role in developing national policy and strategy in a number of business sectors. He had responsibility for driving and supporting research and innovation in Irish industry and supporting the creation of collaborative industry/academic approach to innovation, working closely with Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) to establish individual research centres of excellence, strategic research clusters and competence centres. He also has particular expertise in the development of Industry Clusters through linking foreign and indigenous companies and service providers.
Frank has delivered capacity building training workshops in developing countries for National, Regional & Municipality staff aimed at implementing or developing new strategies. He has also gained international experience in investment promotion development in a number of developing countries in regions such as the Middle East and the Caribbean.
