Export and Trade Support

The COVID 19 pandemic challenges economies all over the world as they seek to recover and adapt to new realities for their industries and services. Their response will be affected by new trends such as reshoring, nearshoring, regionalisation, localisation and shortening of global supply chains. New challenges due to trade barriers and disputes, increased regulation and consumer behaviour which seeks a more sustainable trade also pose difficulties as countries work to internationalise local industry and exporters.

Communique International supports governments, regions and organisations as they seek to meet these challenges. We support trade and export promotion agencies and government ministries by helping to define policies, strategies, stakeholders, structures and operational incentives.

Our Export and Trade Team is made up of experienced practitioners who are all former senior executives of highly successful agencies in Europe and Latin America. Each member has practical, hands-on experience in achieving exceptional economic growth through the internationalisation of local businesses and linkages to international companies.

With over 30 years’ experience we are uniquely placed to:

  • Advise on the development of inclusive trade policy tools
  • Advise on the structures and procedures utilised by successful export agencies
  • Advise on sources of market information and participation in global value chains
  • Provide capability building for agency staff and stakeholders
  • Advise on incentives and support programmes for exporters
  • Advise on the drafting and negotiating of trade and investment agreements and their effective implementation

The Team brings a combination of insights from international success stories, methodologies, tools and techniques which are adapted to suit local circumstances in a way that will differentiate a country from its competitors. This brings value to every stage in the internationalisation and trade development process by providing support to governments and their agencies in dealing with existing and potential exporters.
